A new life

My first Sunderland shirt.

As is the case with many European towns and cities we are fanatical about football in South Shields, and being between two major teams is a bit of a dilemna for some. Newcastle United are playing in the Premiership and Sunderland are playing in the Championship. I am a long suffering Sunderland supporter and couldn't resist the opportunity to "create" this image for one of my friends when he discovered that his wife was expecting their first child. The scan was taken in South Tyneside District Hospital's excellent maternity unit a couple of years ago.
